Riso Basics is a basic workshop designed to introduce you to how Riso works and what this printing technique involves. It's for anyone who wants to get started with Riso.
During the classes you will learn:
1. Basic device operation:
- you will learn the structure of RISO (matrices, drums, etc.)
- principles of machine operation
- Riso printing philosophy – matrices, run, colors
2. You will learn to print
- each person makes two of their own postcard designs in two colors, 13x18cm, or one A4 design
- we practice thinking in layers of colors: designing in layers
3. You'll replicate your projects yourself. You'll learn how to operate and work with the machine.
WORKSHOP DETAILS:
The workshops take place at Oficyna Peryferie, in the premises of the Eastern Studio in Warsaw.

WHAT'S NEXT?
People who complete the Riso Basics workshop can sign up for subsequent classes, which delve deeper into printing digital files—photos or illustrations—in CMYK.
RISO PRINT CLUB
The project consists of a sequence of training courses, from Riso Basics to Riso Pro, the aim of which is to achieve workshop proficiency, enabling independent work on your own projects.
- Riso Basics – basic analog workshops. Familiarization with the machine.
- Riso CMYK – the basics of CMYK color separation and printing photos and illustrations
- Riso Pro – advanced separation, design for Riso and printing multi-color graphics
People completing the Riso workshop series can sign up for regularly organized Open Studio sessions, during which they can print their own designs using our equipment.

Ticket returns are accepted up to 7 days before the event. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event may be transferred to another date.
