ZINE DIY Workshops (formerly: "How to Make a Zine?")

These are our classic zine workshops for anyone who wants to enter the world of independent publications and create their first zine themselves – regardless of experience.

During an intensive day, you will learn the entire process of creating a paper publication – from idea, through mock-up, to the finished print run.

When?

26.06.2026 – Friday
Time: 10:00-19:00

In the program:

• History and idea of zines – where they came from, why they are important, what remains of them today.
• Forms and structure of publications – how to think about format, layout, and page rhythm.
• Mock-up — prototype — you will independently create a mock-up-prototype of your zine.
• Imposition and preparation for printing – how to manage typesetting, page order, and publication structure.
• Production – based on the mock-up, you will duplicate and bind your zine in a print run of about 20 copies on black and white photocopy.

Workshop goal:

• to show that anyone can create publications — quickly, simply, and with their own hands.
• to impart skills that will allow you to continue working independently: from idea, through form, to a physical object (without complicated tools).

• You will see what the DIY publishing process looks like - without complicated tools or software, but with a huge range of possibilities.
• You will leave with a finished publication and knowledge that you can apply immediately on your own.
• You will learn the artistic context of zines as a phenomenon of independent culture.

How much does it cost?

We have three price categories for tickets:

• SOLIDARITY - solidarity ticket 345 PLN – for people whose economic conditions allow them to pay more and support access for lower-income individuals
• NORMAL – standard workshop price: 275 PLN
• LOW INCOME — social ticket: 205 PLN – for people whose living and life conditions do not allow them to pay the full amount for the workshops.

The workshop price includes all necessary materials and tools, as well as paper and the cost of printing 20 copies of your zine on black and white photocopy.
