All instructions have been tested in practice during many years of leading bookbinding workshops.
However, it's not just a manual. "How to Make a Book?" also talks about the history and construction of books, their materiality, and the potential of artist books. It encourages experimentation, independent skill acquisition, and creating publications outside of industrial circulation.

The fifth edition of the book was printed using offset technique for the first time, while retaining the character of the original riso illustrations as a reprint of the originals from the first edition.
